Cobb angle for quantifying spinal deformities

To measure the Cobb angle, choose the vertebra whose endplates are most tilted towards each other.

Draw lines along the endplates. The angle between the two lines is the Cobb angle.

If the lines don’t intersect on the monitor because of the curvature, right angles to the lines can be drawn. Where these lines intersect will be the same Cobb angle (as depicted above).
